Quality assurance as a discipline aims to ensure that the management standards, processes, and policies are appropriate and correctly implemented to increase the effective and efficient operation of an organization as well as increase its probability of being successful. Along the same line, quality assurance is a systematic review of an educational institution that monitors, assess and provides constructive feedback regarding its activities. It also ensures that acceptable standards of education, scholarship and infrastructure are being maintained. A detailed quality assurance plan can achieve the aforementioned.  The current course addresses the evolving demands of quality assurance in the education sector (primary, secondary and higher educational levels) in relation to the increased integration of new technologies in the management, as well as the teaching and learning processes. It is important for students to understand how emerging technologies affect and add value to the daily process and activities of an educational institution. Consequently, the course aims to help the students realize the relationship between quality assurance and educational technology standards. Setting and following educational technology standards for quality assurance purposes regarding the main stakeholders of an educational institution (students, educators, and leaders) is extremely necessary and it considers an indicator for survival and success.
