Strategic management is a set of managerial decisions and actions that determines the long-run successful performance of the corporation. In this course the students will learn about the strategic management process, environmental scanning, organizational analysis, strategy formulation, strategy implementation and control. The study of strategic management emphasizes the monitoring and evaluating of external opportunities and threats in light of corporation’s strengths and weaknesses. Special attention is given to ethical decision making and corporate social responsibility. The course is based on the analysis of relevant case studies of real companies.
